According to the book, "This is the story of one girl who having gathered the Seven Seishi of "Suzaku" acquired the power to make any wishes come true. The story itself is a spell. One who finishes the book shall acquire the same power as the heroine and her wishes will come true. As soon as the page is turned the story will become the truth and begin." They are then sucked into the book and transported to an ancient Chinese world where Miaka becomes the heroine of the book.

Kohaku is an angel who arrived on earth and was saved by Shuichirou from a crow. Eventually the crow turned into another little demon who was named Kouryuu. Anyhow, since Shuichirou saved Kohaku once, Kohaku was obliged to grant him any wish he demanded. The problem however was that Shuichirou is a down to earth man and is a doctor so he politely refused. He believed working hard is the only way to rightfully earn something. However, Kohaku did not accept that as his intent and decided to stay with him until one day he decides to make that wish of his. And hence, we follow the daily life and stories surrounding Kohaku and Shuichirou which slowly involves more complicated matters.

Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO) is an amusing if curious story to read created by Fujisawa Tooru. In many ways GTO is probably rather indicative of many manga currently being written. It deals with a male protagonist who leads a rather blessed life in his pursuit of happiness. Along the way he helps many people around him and makes the world generally a better place. This is despite appearing to be quite the irreverent punk that his character is based on.

At school, they tell people they're going out since they come to and leave school together. Uehara is really popular, and all the girls think that Nao is really lucky to be going out with him. Nao's best friend, Marina, is very interested in guys, she keeps a notebook with vital stats and notes on all the cool guys she meets or knows about ^_^. Uehara seems pretty serious, he's a really good student and a black belt in three martial arts! He also works part-time at several jobs at once to get money. However, Nao finds that he actually has a very dry sense of humour (except in relation to food, he considers it serious business) Nao is an indifferent student, and very easygoing(you might even call her a bit of a pushover). These two might sound like opposites, but they actually get along really well and even start to have romantic feelings for each other. First, though, they have to overcome difficulties such as Uehara's past(?) one-sided love for his sister-in-law, Yuri, and their classmate Abe's crush on Nao. This story is great, with likeable characters and a storyline, sometimes humourous and always fun, that keeps you cheering for Nao and Uehara. It also seems to be pretty popular, so it might enjoy a long presence in Ribon.
